Welcome to Guitar Ninjas – Black Belt
Congratulations — you’ve reached Level 9: Black Belt, the final stage of Guitar Ninjas! Very few make it this far, and earning your Black Belt marks you as a true Guitar Ninja who has shown dedication, persistence, and passion for the instrument.
At this level, you’ll be expanding on everything covered in Brown Belt, taking on material that reflects the third year of a music degree. You’ll explore advanced theory, cutting-edge techniques, and performance skills that push you to the highest level of musicianship within the program.
Here’s what to expect:
- Expanded study pieces and exercises that integrate advanced theory and technique
- Creative applications that challenge you to improvise, compose, and perform with full command of the instrument
- Professional-level musicianship, preparing you for further study, performance, or teaching if you choose to pursue it
Black Belt typically takes 6–12 months to complete, and is designed to cement everything you’ve learned on your Guitar Ninja journey.
While this is the final belt of Guitar Ninjas, it is by no means the end of your path as a guitarist. In many ways, this is where the real journey begins — with the tools, knowledge, and skill to create your own unique musical voice and continue growing for a lifetime.
Congratulations on making it this far. You are now a Guitar Ninja Black Belt.
