You’ve made it to Level 7: Red Belt, the final stage of the intermediate phase. By this point, you’ve built a strong foundation of skills, theory, and techniques — now it’s time to bring it all together and push yourself towards advanced guitar playing.
In Red Belt, you’ll continue to develop through a structured mix of study pieces, creativity exercises, and chord progressions. The focus here is on exploring a wide range of contemporary guitar styles and applying extended techniques that will stretch your ability and musical expression.
Here’s what to expect:
- Study pieces that highlight advanced rhythm and lead approaches across multiple genres
- Creativity exercises designed to help you develop your own voice as a guitarist
- Chord progressions that encourage improvisation, songwriting, and stylistic fluency
- Ongoing refinement of the techniques you’ve built in earlier levels, now applied in more complex contexts
How it works:
- Each level has its own book and online course with step-by-step videos.
- To level up, complete the checklist at the start of your book along with the advanced activities in your Guitar Ninjas Workbook.
- Red Belt typically takes 6–12 months to complete, depending on your dedication and practice routine.
Red Belt is about broadening your horizons and preparing you for the advanced phase of your Guitar Ninja journey. By the end of this level, you’ll be ready to step into Brown Belt with the skills, versatility, and confidence of a seasoned guitarist.
